  12.                        Special Note Regarding CD-ROM Installation
  13.  
  14.           The files on your CD-ROM are not compressed, so you can see the 
  15.           look of a program right from the CD-ROM by typing the program's 
  16.           .EXE name at the DOS prompt.  You will not be able to save any 
  17.           files you create in this manner, however.  To do that, you must 
  18.           install the program to a floppy or a hard drive.  It is recommended
  19.           that you install this program to a floppy disk if you wish to test 
  20.           it thoroughly.  That way, the files you create can be copied to 
  21.           your hard disk should you decide to keep it later on.

  23.           You can install Savings from your CD-ROM to a floppy disk, test it 
  24.           as thoroughly as you like, and then if you decide to keep it,  you 
  25.           can install it to your hard disk by running the Install found on 
  26.           your floppy disk, just as if the floppy disk were a distribution 
  27.           disk.  Install will copy over all of Savings's files, and if you've
  28.           created any data files, it will notify you and ask if you want 
  29.           those copied over as well.

  58.                             Installation from the CD-ROM
  59.  
  60.           From Savings's CD-ROM directory, type:
  61.  
  62.                                 install
  63.  
  64.           Install will ask for one or two items:
  65.  
  66.                       1   the target drive, and
  67.                       2   the target directory (if copying to a hard disk)
  68.  
  69.           If you install Savings to a floppy disk, you will not be asked for 
  70.           a target directory.
  71.  
  72.           Please remember that you cannot install to a CD-ROM.

  74.           After specifying the drive (and directory, in the event you're
  75.           installing to a hard drive), Install will ask if you need to make 
  76.           any changes.  If you need to change an entry, press <Y> or the up
  77.           arrow.

  81.           Install offers \MYREALM as the default directory.  You can change 
  82.           it to your liking of course, but it is recommended that all of My 
  83.           Little Realm's programs be put in the same directory.

  85.           If you give Install the name of a directory that already exists, it
  86.           will put Savings into that existing directory.  
  87.  
  88.           Warning:  You should only put Savings into a directory with 
  89.           other My Little Realm programs.  They are made to interact 
  90.           properly.  If Savings is your first MLR program, you should
  91.           put it into its own directory.

  95.                               Printing the Documentation

  97.           To print Savings's documentation, go to the Savings directory
  98.           (MYREALM is used as an example) and direct the printout of 
  99.           SAVINGS.TXT to the printer using the "> PRN" option as shown below. 
  100.           Be sure your printer is on.

  110.                                 Printing an Order Form

  112.           To print an order form, go to the Savings directory and direct the 
  113.           printout of REGISTER.TXT to the printer using the "> PRN" option as
  114.           shown below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  124.           in the Options Window of Savings.

  128.           My Little Realm offers a number of programs for IBM PC compatible
  129.           computers.  They are:  Public Library, Checking, Charging, Private 
  130.           Library (for cataloging your own books, tapes, cd's, etc.), Read 
  131.           More (a program designed to encourage young readers), Calling 
  132.           Cards, and Records of the Realm (which helps you keep track of all 
  133.           of the important documents in your life).  Read DESCRIBE.TXT for 
  134.           information on all of these programs.
